Street Art

Lisbon is one of the great street-art cities in Europe, and some of the best of it is hidden in places visitors never think to look. On this three-hour ride we leave the postcard streets behind and follow the murals: huge walls that cover the sides of whole buildings, small stencils on forgotten doorways, tiles that have been given a modern twist.

Your driver knows the artists, the stories and the history of the walls, and why Lisbon became such a canvas for them. Some pieces are political, some are playful, some are tributes to the neighbourhood and the people who live there. We stop often, because street art is best seen slowly and up close, and because the light on a painted wall changes the whole mood of a piece.
